People and places, close to home or far away, are the subjects of my photographs. The action, the light, the drama, the unexpected are what excites me.
What is it about something seen that makes it register enough to make me pause? Is it the timelessness of the landscape, urban or rural, where the stones or buildings seem to have been there forever? Is it the contrast between the old and some jarring element of contemporary life? Is it an attitude seen in a person's stance while he or she is waiting or working? Does that place or person catch my eye?
My pictures celebrate people and the world in which they live. I catch the moments directly or out of the corner of my eye; the moments that make me pause and take a second look. Then, click.
